OPEN END: Resonate, Re-Read and Re-Trace The Substation Archive explores the histories and communities surrounding Singapore’s first independent contemporary arts centre through works by Adrian Tan, Chong Li-Chuan, Urich Lau, and my own curatorial intervention. Drawing from materials within The Substation Archive, the exhibition reactivates the usually quiet Rotunda Library & Archive through text-based compositions, video installations, soundscapes, and archival traces that invite audiences to encounter the archive as a living and contested space.

Rather than presenting a fixed historical narrative, the project considers how archives may be re-read, resonated with, and continually reactivated through artistic and curatorial practice. The exhibition was presented by National Gallery Singapore and supported by the Platform Projects Curatorial Award overseen by NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore and The Substation.
